Innovative ADAS-Solution: Neusoft is demonstrating optimized integration of object detection and recognition applications on Freescale Technology Forum Japan

TOKYO, Japan, December 4, 2014 -- Neusoft Corporation ("Neusoft", SSE: 600718), a leading IT solution and service provider in China, is showing its advanced software during today’s Freescale Technology Forum Japan (FTF Japan) at the Prince Park Tower in Tokyo. Demonstrations of the latest progress of integrating its ADAS applications for “Traffic Sign Recognition“ (TSR), “Lane Departure Warning“ (LDW) and “Pedestrian Detection“ (PD) are taking center stage. They are part of ongoing joint development efforts together with Freescale Semiconductor and Green Hills Software to present its customers with a holistic solution for ADAS systems.

Today, up to 3,500 visitors from different industries and countries have come to attend the FTF Japan. Neusoft is showcasing the continuous advancements in image recognition and detection software in an automotive context. They are optimized to work on Freescale’s ADAS platform that is currently under development.

Testers welcome: Live demo of ADAS applications

Visitors of the Neusoft pedestal get the opportunity to experience the applications “Pedestrian Detection” and “Traffic Sign Recognition“ through interactive live demos:

The application “Pedestrian Detection“ is constantly recognizing visitors that are moving in front of the installed camera. The application “Traffic Sign Recognition“ is actively identifying traffic signs that visitors can hold up in front of the camera. A display shows how pedestrians and traffic signs, such as speed limits, could be highlighted and interpreted under real traffic conditions.

Research is paying off

“Advanced driver assistance systems are constantly gaining momentum, as of recently this trend is especially apparent in entry- and mid-market segments“, says Georg Mueller, Global Head of Sales, Neusoft Automotives. “With our optimized algorithms we are achieving both an improved visual output as well as higher detection rates. We are confident that our ten years of research and development are going to pay off through this promising co-operation.“
