Neusoft PACS system was certified as international advanced level

On the 8th of August, NEUSOFT PACS/RIS for Beijing Tiantan Hospital was appraised and approved by the Beijing Health Bureau. On the 9th of August, the Academic Symposium on the Clinical Application of NEUSOFT PACS/RIS for Beijing Tiantan Hospital was hosted by the Beijing Health Bureau at the auditorium of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. Representatives from more than 80 hospitals in Beijing and other cities participated in the symposium.

NEUSOFT PACS/RIS was developed by Neusoft Co., Ltd. in conjunction with the Beijing Tiantan Hospital. The system is a breakthrough over the conceptualization of finance-centered management model. With a doctor working station as its core, the system combines the unique features of Tiantan Hospital, focusing on the patient-first service concept. It is now running well in the 25 areas and 35 departments such as surgical anesthesia, pharmacy and clinical chemistry. This system enables all the examination reports of Tiantan Hospital to be processed through a computer system and all of the images inputted into the PACS system, which optimizes the daily operation and management of the hospital and enhances the quality of medical care service as well as the image diagnosis level of the hospital.The system features a LAN mass storage system, perfect data storage, migration and backup technology, and independent intellectual copyright. It also the capacity for the 3D reconstruction of CT, pathology tracking and remote medical care, which enables the technological innovation of the system and its practical application. The system is considered one of the important breakthroughs in China medical care information construction. Director Gao Peiyi of Radiation Department of Tiantan Hospital remarked on this system that it is featured with flexibility, accuracy, high efficiency, security, stability, practicability and intelligence and it is in line with industry standards.The system has strong flexibility with its frontoffice clinically centered and its backoffice management standardized.

In the end, the panel of domestically renowned radiology experts, experts from the Steering Group on Information Construction of China Ministry of Health, experts from the Information Office of Beijing Health Bureau, and experts in computer technology concluded that," This system is of great technology difficulty and its technology standards have reached international advanced level. It significantly contributes to the economic construction and technology advancement of hospitals and will achieve greater economic and social benefits. Through anonymous ballot, the experts panel unanimously agreed to recommend this system to apply for the first Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress".
