 (January 12, 2005, Beijing) Today, Novell signed an agreement with Neusoft, a leading Chinese software and solutions provider, for future cooperation in Linux training. This cooperation has brought internationally advanced NCLP & NCLE Linux professional training courses to China, contributing both to the influence of the two sides in China? Linux training market, and to the development of Linux system in China. Mr. Greg Embleton, Novell Vice President of Professional Services and Solutions for Novell Asia Pacific, and Mr. Fang Fer-Hoc, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Neusoft Group, were present at the signing ceremony.

This cooperation between Neusoft and Novell in Linux training market aims to supplying the NCLP & NCLE Linux professional training courses at preliminary and advanced levels.

NCLP ?The Novell Certified Linux Professional (Novell CLP) is for people who want to be Linux administrators. Skills demonstrated by someone holding a Novell CLP certification include: installing Linux servers into a network environment, managing users and groups, troubleshooting the SUSE LINUX file system, managing and compiling the Linux kernel, and troubleshooting network processes and services. NCLP is the preliminary level of Linux certification.

NCLE ?The Novell Certified Linux Engineer (Novell CLE) is an advanced certification for Linux administrators interested in running Novell Nterprise Linux Services. Skills demonstrated by someone holding a Novell CLE certification would include: installing Nterprise Linux Services into a heterogeneous network, setting up and managing users, and configuring web mail access with Nterprise Linux Services. NCLE is the advanced level of Linux certification.
 
Through this cooperation, Neusoft will aggressively kick off the Novell Linux professional training and certification programs throughout Neusoft Institute of Information Technology. First of all, Neusoft will promote the Linux training to over 14,000 trainees in Neusoft institute of Information Technology. Secondly, Neusoft will assist trainees to obtain NCLP certifications through these training courses. In addition, with powerful sales and service systems in China, Neusoft will popularize Novell Linux training courses and certification programs among users in every field throughout the country. In order to carry out mutual cooperation and facilitate technical exchanges, the two sides will set up a cooperation laboratory in Dalian, and Novell will support the hardware and software construction of the laboratory with its advanced Linux technologies and resources.
