About Neusoft

Founded in 1991 at Northeastern University, Neusoft started in pursuit of the vision of bridging the gap between software research and application. In 1996, Neusoft became the first listed software company in China.By 2001, Neusoft maintained a leading position in industry solutions and medical systems and decided to develop into an IT solutions & services provider. Just three years later, Neusoft became the largest offshore software outsourcing service provider in China.

Through 20 years of relentless efforts, Neusoft has grown into the leading IT solutions & services provider in China. The following are some of the milestones along the way:

1988

At the beginning of 1988, Dr. Liu Jiren worked together with two other young teachers to set up a computer software and network engineering research lab with 30,000 RMB and only three computers.

1989

Starting from the research lab, they began business cooperation with Japan's Alpine through technical export and software outsourcing, which made Alpine their first international customer.

1990

The Software Research & Development Center was established with the Northeast Institute of Technology and released the slogan "Bridging Software Research and Application."

1991

OPENSOFT System Development Company was incorporated with the Northeast Institute of Technology; a joint venture, Neu-Alpine Software Research Institute (a limited liability company) was set up together with Japan's Alpine.

1992

OPENSOFT System Development Company went through an ownership restructuring and was renamed OPENSOFT System Co., Ltd. of Northeast Institute of Technology.

1993

OPENSOFT System Co., Ltd. of Northeast Institute of Technology merged with Neu-Alpine Software Research Institute to set up Shenyang Neu-Alpine Software Co., Ltd. Computer Software R&D Center of Northeast Institute of Technology was renamed Software Center of Northeastern University, which was the first National Engineering Research Center for computer software in China.

1995

The first university software park in China, Neusoft Park, was launched into construction; Neusoft merged with the Northeastern University Computer Imaging Center to start its exploration in CT and other medical systems.

1996

Neusoft, together with Toshiba, established a joint venture, NETS Systems Integration Co., Ltd.; Neusoft Group Ltd. was incorporated; on June 18th, Neu-Alpine Software Co., Ltd. went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming the first listed software company in China.

1998

Neu-Alpine Software Co., Ltd. obtained ISO9001 quality certification; Shanghai Baosteel Group invested in Neusoft; Neu-Alpine Digital Medical Systems Co., Ltd. was incorporated; the construction of Dalian Neusoft Park commenced.

1999

Dalian Neusoft Park began operations; the CT-C2000 series produced by Neu-Alpine Digital Medical Systems Co., Ltd. passed CE certification.

2000

Construction begon on Neusoft’s Institute of Information in Dalian; Neusoft set up subsidiaries in Hong Kong and the US; Neusoft passed ISO9001:2000 certification.

2001

Neusoft implemented a brand integration strategy resulting in the unified brand, "Neusoft"; Neu-Alpine was renamed "Neusoft Co., Ltd."; Neusoft set up a subsidiary company in Japan; Neusoft Co., Ltd. became the first CMM3-appraised software company in China.

2002

Neusoft set up two other information institutes in Nanhai and Chengdu; Neusoft became the first CMM5-appraised software company in China.

2003

A strategic restructuring was completed across Neusoft Group; Neusoft Park Industrial Development Co., Ltd. was incorporated; Neusoft MRI systems passed CE Certification.

2004

Philips and Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd. was incorporated; Neusoft became the first software company in China to be awarded CMMI Level 5 rating and became the first software company to obtain CMMI Level 5 rating in China; Neusoft Institute of Information of Northeastern University(NEU) was established as an independent college of NEU; Philips became a strategic investor in Neusoft Group; Neusoft started providing BPO services.

2005

Neusoft Group released a new logo with more internationalized features and a new brand philosophy, "Beyond Technology"; Neusoft and Philips invested to establish the Biomedical and Information Engineering School in cooperation with NEU and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) of the Netherlands.

2006

Neusoft formed a strategic alliance with SAP and Intel, which both became strategic investors in Neusoft; Neusoft IT Service Co., Ltd. was established to further develop the BPO business; Neusoft won “CCTV Employer of the Year”.

2007

Neusoft was listed for the fourth time in the “Global Services 100” and ranked No.1 among “Top 10 to Watch in Emerging Asian Markets”; Neusoft entered the top 25 among the list of "Global Outsourcing 100" issued by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP); Neusoft Software Talents Internship & Training Base broke ground within Neusoft Park; ; Neusoft Group's overall listing plan was finally approved by the CSRC for immediate implementation.

2008

Neusoft Group released its new growth strategy upon its consolidated listing, announcing its dedication to becoming a leading global IT solutions and services provider; Neusoft became the first PCMM Level 3 rated software enterprise in China; Neusoft’s second software park in Dalian and first R&D base in Nanjing were built up and put into operation.

2009

Neusoft Europe AG was established; Neusoft announced the global launch of three flagship medical products including NeuViz 16 Multi-slice Scanner System, Sparkler 1.5T Superconductive MRI System and NeuLife Linear Accelerator System. PET, NeuViz 16 and Sparkler 1.5T were recognized as the first of their kinds in China; Foundation laying ceremony of Neusoft's Shanghai Software Base was held in Shanghai; Construction of Neusoft’s Guangzhou and Tianjin Software Bases were launched; Neusoft signed an agreement with the Finnish software company Sesca Group Ltd. to acquire Sesca's three subsidiaries which specialized in developing high-end and smart mobile software; Neusoft launched Xikang Healthcare Service to develop its healthcare service business; Neusoft’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Liu Jiren was elected "Economic Person of the Year” by CCTV.

2010

Neusoft was listed among “Global Outsourcing Services Top 100” by IAOP for the fourth time; Neusoft and Harman formed a strategic partnership to develop advanced technologies in automotive and consumer electronics; NEC and Neusoft IT Service Co., Ltd. established a joint venture in China devoted to cloud computing; Neusoft Medical’s Middle East subsidiary was established in Dubai; Neusoft Medical won the Frost and Sullivan New Product Innovation Award.

2011

Neusoft invested and incorporated a new subsidiary - Neusoft Xikang Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd. and released the "Health Cloud" strategy; Neusoft purchased 73.14% equities in Beijing ViewHigh Technology Co., Ltd., and invested into Israel-based Aerotel Medical Systems Ltd. and U.S. headquartered Appconomy, Inc.; Neusoft and NEC jointly founded NEC Neusoft Information Technologies Co., Ltd. to tap into cloud computing business in Chinese market; Neusoft and Toshiba Solutions Corporation jointly established Shenyang Toshiba Neusoft Information Systems Co., Ltd.; Neusoft became the first PCMM Level 5 certified Chinese company.

2012

Neusoft Medical and A&T Company jointly founded Neusoft A&T Diagnostics Co., Ltd.; Neusoft Medical successfully launched NeuViz 64 Multi-slice CT scanner, and received FDA, CE, and SFDA certificates; Neusoft Xikang Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd. and Alps Electric Co., Ltd jointly established Shenyang Xikang Alps Technologies Co., Ltd.; Neusoft named to IAOP’s 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 for the sixth time; Neusoft won 2012 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Award; Neusoft has been recognized as one of 50 Chinese global challengers by Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

2013

Neusoft's wholly owned subsidiary, Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd., acquired 25% equities in Philips & Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd. ("PNMS") held by Philips, and became the holding company of the original joint venture; Neusoft and Huawei formed strategic partnership; Neusoft became Industry Partner of the World Economic Forum; Neusoft named to ‘Level 1 Qualification Certificate Enterprises for China's Computer Information System Integration’; Neusoft listed in IAOP's Global Outsourcing 100 for the seventh time; Neusoft named again to PwC's Global 100 Software Leaders;

2014

Neusoft signed a strategic partnership agreement with Alibaba Cloud to jointly explore the global cloud service market. Neusoft was restructured to establish its new wholly owned subsidiary Neusoft Cloud Technology. Neusoft cooperated with 10 IT companies to jointly establish China's first secure e-government industry strategic alliance. Neusoft Medical Systems launched a whole range of new products and solutions including NeuViz 64 IN/EN 64-Slice CT Scanner. Neusoft launched the latest version of SaCa v2 and UniEAP v4 products. Neusoft partners with Hony Capital and Goldman Sachs to make investments on Neusoft Medical Systems and Neusoft Xikang. Neusoft was listed in IAOP’s ‘2014 Global Outsourcing 100’ for the eighth time. Neusoft was listed in ‘Global 100 Software Leaders' for the third time by PwC.

2015

"Ningbo Cloud Hospital" was jointly founded by Ningbo Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission and Neusoft Xikang. Neusoft Medical Systems officially launched the NeuViz 128 CT for the global markets. Neusoft showcased next generation IVI platform solution “C³-Alfus” at TU-Automotive Detroit 2015. Neusoft showcased IT enabled healthcare innovations at HIMSS 2015. Neusoft showcased Innovative automotive electronics and healthcare products at CeBIT 2015 in Hannover, Germany. Neusoft Reach launched Internet-based intelligent charging system for electric vehicles.

2016

Neusoft launched “RealSight” big data analysis and application platform for enterprises. Neusoft's new generation of hospital core business platform “RealOne Suite” was officially launched. Neusoft was the only software company from China to be included in the 2016 "Global 100 Software Leaders" list, and Neusoft has been named to the "Emerging Markets Top 30 Software Companies" list by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), ranking third. Neusoft Reach released a next generation intelligent battery management system.
