Haier’s 5G Digital Twin Platform Co-developed by Neusoft Wins IDC Excellent Cases Award

Recently, the global market intelligence firm IDC (International Data Corporation) announced the winners of the 2022 Future Enterprise Awards for China. Qingdao Haier’s “5G Digital Twin Platform” co-developed by Neusoft and other companies won the award as “Best in Future of Work” for its pioneering application of 5G and RFID-based battery-free IoT technology in the washing machine industry.

As one of the most authoritative awards in the information and communication technology sector, IDC Future Enterprise Awards, initiated in 2016, aim to discover various “future enterprises” taking the lead in digital transformation. The 2022 winners are selected from more than 500 nominations in 20 industries through public voting and expert jury evaluation.

Featuring the pioneering integration of 5G and RFID-based battery-free IoT technology into manufacturing, sales and after-sales of washing machines, Qingdao Haier’s “5G Digital Twin Platform” provides a benchmark for digital transformation in the industry.

This platform is based on Neusoft’s RealSight DT scenario modeling platform. On the factory side, it can precisely identify and locate each component on washing machine production lines and provide quantitative and real-time indicators of production efficiency and risks. This can enable accurate remote monitoring, management and also reduce the risk of production line shutdown. In addition, the combined simulation can more efficiently verify many different assumptions to make optimal decisions and plans. On the family side, the digital twin of washing machine operating condition supports panoramic fault backtracking, providing data on occasional faults for more efficient after-sales problem solving.
