Embedded Linux Application Supporting Platform is a reusable platform, based on which all kinds of application middleware (such as Navigation, Mobile TV, Multimedia Coding & Decoding, Web 2.0-based Browser, QR Code Reader, and etc.) can be constructed to help target customers (OEM or ODM) develop all kinds of target products (such as MID, Mobile TV, Mobile Widgets, DCD, PIM Sync, and etc).
Hardware development module adopts M68VZ328(33MHZ) micro-processor from Motorola. The main configuration includes:
- SDRAM 8M
- FLASH 4M
- LCD 160*240 16-level gray scale and touch panel
- 16-key matrix keyboard
- Two-way RS232 interfaces
Software development package is composed of an embedded Linux operation system, a driver support package, an embedded graphic package, and a GNU cross compiling debugger. Embedded Linux operation system includes a ROM/RAM file system and an embedded Linux core which adopts the uClinux, the currently popular open source embedded Linux.
The system structure of an embedded Linux software development platform is shown as the diagram below, in which the dotted line indicates the functionalities to be developed at next stage.
